Residential Liquid Propane

Propane is a colorless gas. Its molecular formula is C3H3.It was identified by Dr .Walter O. Snelling. It can b easily compressed to any liquid that can b transported. This gas reacts with alkaline and undergoes combustion but with oxygen, it gives water and carbon dioxide. This gas is heavier than air. This is also called liquefied petroleum gas. It is very useful in case of a leakage .It is mixed with thiophene to make people smell easily.

Propane is a fuel for barbecues engines, gas stoves. It is used in barbecues because of its low boiling point. Propane is also used in the re-surfing machine, locomotives and buses. Common name is liquefied petroleum gas, which is used as a vehicle fuel. The boiling point is 231.K.and melting point is 85.5 kg. Raw propane sinks whereas liquid propane becomes vapor at atmospheric pressure. This gas in non-toxic and can be stored at room temperature. Natural gas combustion is much cleaner than propane combustion and gasoline combustion. Propane with the multiple bonds of propylene and butylenes makes organic exhaust, carbon dioxide and water vapor. It is also useful in green house gas emission. The density of propane is measured in mega joules / kg. Its boiling point is -42 C. Therefore, the low boiling point makes it useful in barbecues and portable stoves. It is also useful as a power for locomotives, buses, taxis and ice re-surfing machines. People use propane a lot in the rural areas of North America for cooking stoves, laundries, grain dryers, and heat producing appliances. It is a primary heating fuel for Americans. This gas is useful all around the world by agriculturalist, industrialists and commercial applications.

Propane is also useful in hot air gas balloons, theme park and movie industry use propane for explosion and other special effects. The delivery trucks that supply propane in North America are called Bob Tails. The size of the tank is 3000 gallons. Huge tractor tailor trucks transport propane gas to local delivery points. Individual trucks also supply propane to consumers. Nowadays people have started using propane in place of wood. Grass makers, brickins and poultry farms and almost all industries which need portable heat use propane. It is produced as a by-product of natural gas processing and patrolling refining. Because of its heavy use the demand of propane has increased a lot.

Propane gas is more reliable with consistency in weight and pressure. The heat produced by propane gas is almost instant. The use of gas is cleaner and less noisy than other fuels. Propane stove are lighter than all other stoves. Since fuel, being expensive cost of propane stove is higher than other stoves.
